Background/experience:
Having trained as a Chartered Accountant and after spending several years in practice and industry in various accounting roles, Colm moved to consulting in Business World products in 1999. In this role he was responsible for some of the largest Agresso projects undertaken in Ireland.
Specialising in project management, change management and business process re-design Colm provides leadership and vision but is also able to delve into detail when required.
Colm’s experience in managing through the project lifecycle, embedding project processes and change in organisations allows him to have the knowledge that businesses can often lack when implementing change and business information systems.
This led him to set up Hennessy IT Consulting to service the Scottish market in 2007. Since then, Colm has developed information systems and operational processes across commercial, charity and public sector organisations. He is confident in liaising with senior stakeholders and boards, which is critical for the projects he has been involved with. As well as being ‘hands-on’ and managing projects, Colm also manages the Hennessy IT Consulting team who together support clients effectively and innovatively.
Hobbies/interests:
When
not at work Colm loves to travel the world and enjoys indulging his passion in
experiencing local cultures. His friends would say that he is an accomplished
cook.
